If your delivery address does not have a loading dock or a forklift, and your order contains heavy or bulky items, you must add this service to your cart.
This ensures the freight carrier brings a specialized truck equipped with a hydraulic lift to safely lower your items from the truck to ground level.
Description
Safe Unloading for Heavy and Bulky Shipments
Standard freight shipping (LTL) only includes delivery to the back of the transport truck. Drivers are not responsible for unloading heavy equipment by hand due to liability and safety regulations.
When is this service required?
Residential Deliveries: Almost 100% of home addresses require a liftgate for heavy machinery or large pallets.
Commercial Locations without Equipment: If your business is at street level and does not have a dedicated loading dock or forklift on-site.
How it works: By adding this service to your order, we will instruct the freight company to route your shipment on a truck equipped with a hydraulic liftgate. The driver will safely lower your entire order down to the curb or driveway.
Note: If this service is required by the carrier upon arrival and has not been pre-paid, delivery may be delayed, and the carrier will issue an additional storage and redelivery charge.
