The MHCDLS40 mFurnace Coil Cabinet is a downflow coil enclosure developed for manufactured housing HVAC applications. It is designed to attach above a compatible electric furnace equipped with a blower and to provide the enclosure required for an approved air-conditioning or heat pump evaporator coil.

This model is a coil cabinet only. It does not independently provide heating or cooling and does not include an outdoor condenser, heat pump, electric furnace, refrigerant circuit, or evaporator coil. The complete HVAC configuration must be selected and matched separately by a qualified HVAC professional.

System Compatibility

The MHCDLS40 mFurnace Coil Cabinet is intended to be installed above a compatible mobile home electric furnace equipped with a blower. The current ADP installation manual identifies this cabinet as applicable to all listed M Series coil heights. This does not mean that every coil, furnace, and outdoor unit combination is automatically compatible.

Before purchasing, verify the exact furnace model, evaporator coil model, airflow requirements, cabinet clearances, refrigerant requirements, and outdoor equipment combination. Any efficiency rating must come from the documented matched system rather than from the cabinet itself.

Filter and Airflow Information

The louvered door of the MHCDLS40 mFurnace Coil Cabinet is designed for two 20 × 20 × 1-inch pleated air filters. Filters must be installed in the correct position and replaced or serviced according to the furnace, coil, and filter manufacturer’s instructions.

The cabinet has a published maximum airflow rating of 1,800 CFM. Actual system airflow must be configured by the installer according to the selected furnace blower, evaporator coil, ductwork, external static pressure, and matched outdoor equipment.

Installation Requirements

The manufacturer’s instructions describe installation of the cabinet above the furnace and require it to be secured to the furnace top cover. The installer must also provide a suitable strap connecting the equipment to the alcove or closet framing.
